Active 20-30 celebrates 10 years with dinner dance

GARDNERVILLE, Nev.

Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club celebrates their 10-year anniversary in Carson Valley with a dinner dance, 5:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Corley Ranch, 859 Highway 395 in Gardnerville. 

The anniversary party and officer installation sponsored by the Corley Ranch features a cocktail reception, tri-tip steak dinner with all the fixings and cake. The event is family-friendly, with games for children and dancing under the stars. Cost is $25 for adults, $15 for children.

The 2009-10 Active 20-30 board of directors will be installed by Jennifer Norman, who served as national president of Active 20-30 Club International in 2006-07. 

The event includes a raffle to benefit the children's Back to School Shopping Spree for under-privileged children, allotting each child $100 to select and purchase items for the coming school year.  

The Active 20-30 organization is an international, nonprofit organization of local clubs raising funds for special needs children in the community. The Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club supports of local charities and children's groups, including Kids & Horses, Tahoe Family Services, Boys & Girls Club, and Austin's House.
