The R-C Morning Report

Douglas County commissioners meet today in Minden. They're starting off with closed employee negotiations at 11:30 a.m. They come out of closed session at 1 p.m. They're talking today about accepting $379,358 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for road improvements, the airport weight ordinance revision, and the sewer master plan. The meeting times out at three hours and 20 minutes

If you've got business with the county or The Record-Courier today's the day to do it because both are closed on Friday for the Fourth of July holiday. If you've got a news tip or need to talk to me, I'll be at my desk.

The best chance for thunderstorms is today at 30 percent. I'm told we had a little sprinkle on the west side on Wednesday. The high today is supposed to hit 89 degrees, depending on the cloud cover.
