Wellness program offered monthly at medical center

Carson Valley Medical Center's Community Wellness program of affordable lab testing available without a doctor's order is now offered monthly. The service was previously offered twice a year.

The tests offered are a wellness panel, including a comprehensive blood and lipid panel, for $40, complete blood count for $25, prostate evaluation for $30 and thyroid evaluation for $35. Electrocardiograms available for $55 and blood pressure checks are free.

Testing is available in the CVMC lab, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month. No appointment necessary. Insurances will not be billed for this discounted service. Payment is due at the time of service. Cash or check only.
