The R-C Morning Report

It's a windy Ash Wednesday out there. Gusts on the east side of the Valley are hitting 28 mph. It feels like the west side is getting gusts in the 40 mph range as another storm shoots through. There's a slight chance of rain tonight and Thursday, then the wind is back on Thursday night.

An Ash Wednesday service and dispensing of ashes at Trinity Lutheran Church is 7 p.m. St. Gall celebrates the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday Mass at 7 a.m., 12:10 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and a Spanish Mass at 7 p.m.

If the wind's blowing that means there's a wind advisory through Washoe Valley. The last of the chain controls are over highways 88 and 50 into California. I'm sure they'll be back tonight and Thursday.
