Alessandro, Krows engaged

Elaine Marie Alessandro and Junior Keith Krows, both of Gardnerville, are engaged to married June 20, 2009, aboard the Safari Rose yacht on Lake Tahoe's Emerald Bay.

Alessandro is the daughter of Carol LaFleur of Fremont, Calif., and Ross Alessandro of Lincoln, Calif. She has been a clinician in the mental health field since graduating from Fresno State University with a master's degree in social work in 1990.

Krows is the son of Joe and June Krows of Seiling, Okla. He was born in Tacoma, Wash., and graduated from Great Basin College with an associate's degree in business technologies.

Krows has been in the U.S. Army and the Nevada Army National Guard for 22 years. He has served two tours in Iraq and traveled throughout the United States and abroad.
