September. The Douglas High School marching band performs their halftime show featuring the music of ABBA at the Douglas varsity football game on Sept. 4.
October. Antonio Traquina and Flynn Scheibe celebrated Nevada Day at Trinity Lutheran Childcare by dressing in western wear, decorating pumpkins and having their picture taken with a horse.
November. Volunteer Jim Hillman carries a box of rolls through the Carson Valley Community Food Closet during distribution of Thanksgiving dinner supplies. The KTVN Share Your Christmas food drive brought in a record 76,000 pounds of food and almost $38,000 in cash donations for the food closet.
December. Project Santa Claus volunteer Duke Sanders sorts gifts at the Douglas county Fairgrounds on Dec. 17. The 20th annual Project Santa Claus provided toys to 786 Valley children.
