The Douglas High Jazz Band is playing in Minden Park tonight as the warm-up to the lighting of the gazebo and town Christmas tree when Santa arrives at 6 p.m.
Caroling in the Genoa Town Church started at 5 p.m. Carolers will make their way to the town's Christmas Tree to turn on its lights at 6 p.m.
Minden's Weihnacts Festival will remain open until 8 p.m. The jazz band has another show at 6:15 p.m., and the singing Girl Scouts will perform at 5:45 p.m.
The Carson Valley Middle School Choir performs in CVIC Hall following the Parade of Lights. Parents may bring cameras to take their own photos with Santa on Saturday.
