An occupant in one of the vehicles in a head-on collision this morning has reportedly died from injuries received in the accident.
The accident was reported at 7:49 a.m., closing Highway 395 to traffic near the Washoe Tribe Administration Offices.
Rescuers arrived within minutes to cut at least one person from the wreckage.
Two ambulance helicopters were called to the scene of the accident. A second person injured in the accident was helicoptered from the scene for treatment.
The highway has been blocked between Gardnerville and Ruhenstroth. The accident is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol.
