One helicoptered in two Highway 88 accidents

One person was helicoptered for medical treatment in two accidents that occurred on Highway 88 this afternoon.

The injury accident was reported at 1:50 p.m. at Highway 88 and Centerville Lane west of the Gardnerville Ranchos.

A single vehicle was involved and the driver was still inside when rescuers arrived.

Care Flight ambulance helicopter landed in the highway and took the victim for medical treatment.

Traffic on 88 was reduced to one lane while NHP troopers investigated the accident.

Personnel at the scene reported the person suffered serious injuries in the accident.

A short time later, a two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 88 and 395 in Minden. The northbound lanes of the highway was reduced to one lane as workers cleared the accident. It was listed as a property damage accident on the Nevada Highway Patrol Web site.
