Holiday gift tree benefits shelter animals

Staff Reports

A holiday gift tree to benefit Douglas Animal Welfare Group will be displayed through Dec. 22 at Max's Pet Supplies in the Raley's Center in Gardnerville. Kori Snyder, owner of Max's, and DAWG are partnering to supply items for homeless animals.

The tree displays ornaments with requests for dog and cat food, toys and other items to be delivered to the Douglas County Animal Shelter before Christmas.

Tax-deductible monetary gifts accepted at the store. Funds are used to pay for spay and neuter, medical emergencies, health problems, training, and special diets for shelter animals.
