A Christmas story

EDITOR:

The nativity of Jesus refers to the Christian belief that the Messiah was born to the Virgin Mary. The story of Christmas is based on the biblical accounts given in the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 1:18 and 2:12) and the Gospel of Luke.

The celebration of Jesus' birth (Christmas) also includes the Christmas tree, lights, mistletoe, nativity scenes, church celebrations, Christmas songs, etc.

Christmas is an annual holiday celebrated in December commemorating the birth of Jesus of Nazareth - a national/federally mandated holiday in the United States of America. This is a paid holiday for all government employees and most private business employees.

So why is happy holidays or winter holiday being used in lieu of Christmas? What has happened to Christmas music and song in schools? Where are the nativity scenes? ACLU and other idiots such as atheist groups are changing America into a socialist/Marxist country.

Is the American public aware Muslims are allowed to bring their prayer rugs into our schools (in some sections of the country) and have special rooms to pray but our Christian child cannot wear a chain and cross around their neck.

Nativity scenes/items and Christmas songs are taboo, but it is perfectly acceptable to brainwash our children with songs of praise for Obama.

When are parents going to start raising hell and take back the responsibility of raising their own children and insist kids are taught history, English, math, the American Constitution and not the far left agenda which is molding our youth into secular socialist zombies.

Please remember it's "Merry Christmas" not happy holidays. Merry Christmas to all.
