The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is looking for the owner of a large tan pet carrier a deputy found in the street next to Minden Elementary School.
Deputy James Booth found the carrier April 17 at 8:15 a.m. while on patrol in the area of Azure Drive and Belsera Court.
Booth said there are no houses on either street or within several hundred yards.
Booth said carrier was too big for his patrol car so he flagged down the driver of a pickup truck who transported the carrier to the sheriff's office.
He said the dog carrier is new and looks like it fell out of a vehicle.
The owner, or anyone with information about the carrier, is asked to leave Booth a message at 782-9935.
