Family wedding at Lake Tahoe

I can't believe I am going to write a column about my baby sister getting married. It was such a beautiful ceremony at Harveys Casino in South Lake Tahoe at their chapel. A very quick ceremony with her three best friends as the bride girls and his best men walked down the aisle. Ken is the middle of 13 kids. There were about a 100 people who showed up for the wedding from mostly the west coast or Bay area.

When asked about what a wedding promise should be, lots of people said, "You should appreciate one another." Others said the success to a marriage was to have a goal every day to make your spouse happy.

With about a hundred relatives there, it was quite an event. Mom had on beautiful dress with her hair and makeup done just right. Our daughter Jenee was in charge of the guest book sign in, she's used to that from the motorcycle club book.

Congratulations Ken and Christy Blach. We wish you many years of happiness. Have fun on your Mexican cruise.

School news

Coffee Connection is 9:15 a.m. today and the book fair family night and art fair are tonight at Pinon Hills Elementary School.

The school's Straw Hat Pizza fundraiser is 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Carson City. Last month $154 was raised for the school.

Kindergarten registration is happening now through May 1.
