Power company blocks lane to replace power pole

Power crews spent much of today replacing a power pole that was knocked down early this morning by a hit and run driver.

The Nevada Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred at 3:42 a.m. It briefly knocked out power to the south part of Carson Valley.

Crews blocked off one northbound lane of Highway 395 while they replaced the pole.

There was no reported outage while the pole was being replaced.
