A 48-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos man admitted one count of attempted lewdness, a gross misdemeanor.
Charles Eugene Nielsen was arrested March 22 for improperly touching the 16-year-old victim.
Nielsen will remain in custody until his sentencing set for May 6.
As a result of his plea, Nielsen must register as a sex offender.
