Search resumes for missing woman

Searchers resumed looking for missing Sun Valley woman Leslie Gray this morning.

So far the search has focused on the river banks and along the East Fork of the Carson River near Hangman's Bridge in Alpine County.

Gray's vehicle was found parked for a week at a popular spot for hikers.

In addition to searching for the 51-year-old woman, the Alpine County Sheriff's Department has opened a criminal investigation in the case.

Aiding Alpine County in the search has been the Douglas and Washoe County Sheriff's offices, Placer County , Amador County , Merced County, El Dorado County, Calaveras County sheriff's departments, Hillsboro, Texas, Sheriff's Office, California Highway Patrol helicopter, California Emergency Management and the California Rescue Dog Association dogs teams.
