Adopt-a-pot kicks off

With the success of the basket flowers program both last year and this year, the Main Street Gardnerville design committee is offering another opportunity to become part of the beautification of downtown Gardnerville with an adopt-a-pot program.

Interested businesses in the Main Street district are asked to adopt a pot for $30.

Main Street Gardnerville, with the help of the Town of Gardnerville, will place the large street pots with blooming flowers on the sidewalks outside the adoptive businesses.

The participating businesses will be required to water the flowers, but will be provided with the instructions on how to keep them blooming throughout the season.

Main Street Gardnerville is hoping to have the pots placed all along the main street corridor so that the Main Street Gardnerville community and visitors will be able to admire the flowers all summer long.

All sponsors will be acknowledged on the Main Street Web site and e-blast newsletters once the flower pots are in place.
