The Nevada Highway Patrol is reporting a non-injury accident in the southbound lanes of Highway 395 and Airport Road. The accident occurred at 6:19 a.m.

Two people facing hard time this morning are scheduled to appear for sentencing in Douglas County District Court. Janice Generelli, 49, faces a minimum of two years in Nevada State Prison for her second felony conviction for driving under the influence. Generelli is ineligible for probation in connection with her May 6 arrest. She was sent to prison in 1993 for felony DUI, which carries a minimum year in prison. A second felony conviction for DUI carried a maximum sentence of 15 years.

A Bodie Flats man who admitted selling cocaine on two occasions before he was arrested in an undercover sting faces up to 12 years in prison and $40,000 in fines for trafficking in a controlled substance. Isaias Leon was arrested on July 25.

Tuesday is the last day of the water year and if the National Weather Service is correct, today's thunderstorms may make a contribution. Forecasters are betting better than even odds that we'll see thunderstorms and scattered showers between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. today. Expect mostly cloudy skies with the high temperature near 81.
