Douglas freshman James TenBroeck bounced back from his first career loss last week to Manogue's Philip Hinojosa to defeat another candidate for the regional title, Carson's Spencer Brinson in Minden Tuesday.
TenBroeck took a 6-2 win against Brinson and then won his final two sets 6-0, 6-2.
Carson pulled away with the team win 11-7, but Douglas also got a sweep from the doubles team of Kevin Sacherman and Andrew Solomon and a win from Spike Neri.
