The R-C Morning Report

Today is the seventh anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon by Islamic fundamentalists. That attack led to the conflicts we debate today. Whatever the result of this election, we must always remember to support our men and women serving in the military.

Tonight Mike "Doc" Fischer performs as Gov. John Sparks at the Douglas County Museum & Cultural Center. The director of the Nevada Department of Cultural Affairs, past president of the DouĀ¬glas County Historical Society, dentist, county commissioner, volunteer firefighter and Dangberg cowboy will start at 7 p.m. He will, however, be performing without his cookie duster, so don't get too close.

It will be sunny and cooler today with a high hitting 82 degrees. It will climb back into the 90s for the weekend, but then back down it will go, according to the National Weather Service.
