Tacoma, Wash., residents Jennifer and 2000 Douglas High School graduate and former Gardnerville resident Sgt. Michael Boyd are the parents of a daughter, Aimee Jayne Boyd, born Sept. 9, 2008, at Madigan Naval Hospital. Aimee weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces, at birth. She is the granddaughter of Douglas and Valdis Boyd of Gardnerville.

Minden residents Amber and Alex Sciarrotta are the parents of a son, Anthony Dean Sciarrotta, born Aug. 27, 2008, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Anthony weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces at birth.

Minden residents Danielle and Eric Rangel are the parents of a son, Peyton Curtis Rangel, born Sept. 1, 2008, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Peyton weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces at birth.

Gardnerville residents Augusta and Chad Hinton are the parents of a daughter, Brooke Lee Hinton, born Aug. 31, 2008, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Brooke weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces at birth.
