Paroled Gardnerville rapist pleads guilty to Reno assaults

RENO " A paroled Gardnerville rapist has pleaded guilty to raping two Reno women at gunpoint in separate incidents.

Authorities say DNA and other evidence linked 44-year-old Curtis Ralph Lange to the assaults that occurred in November 2006 and in May.

He faces two life prison terms when sentenced in November by Washoe District Judge Jerome Polaha.

Lange already is serving a life term for violating his parole on a 1982 sexual assault conviction involving the rape and stabbing of a 17-year-old Douglas High School girl.

He was 18 at the time.

Authorities say Lange was paroled in 2002.
