Tahoe Ridge hires new saleswoman

Rick Halbardier, CEO of Tahoe Ridge Winery & Marketplace in Genoa, has hired Monica Holcomb to develop the national sales market for the winery.

Holcomb worked previously in sales for both Marriott Corp. and Quintus Resorts based in Chicago. She was raised in Virginia and attended Virginia Tech University, where she majored in English.

She is the mother of two girls and has made Carson Valley her home. She loves the outdoors and is an avid runner, mountain biker and kayaker.

"Monica brings great insight, energy and enthusiasm to the position of national sales development," Halbardier said, "all the critical elements that are necessary to propel Tahoe Ridge Winery into the national sales scene."

Holcomb will be in charge of developing channel market sales beginning with the northwestern United States, including Northern Nevada and California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Idaho. She will then expand to the Southern and Midwest markets.

Tahoe Ridge Winery holds the exclusive international trademark rights to the Tahoe Ridge name as it pertains to any wine or wine-related product. This gives Tahoe Ridge Winery the ability to grow its product line both domestically and internationally.

Tahoe Ridge will sell 11 branded wine products in three distinct sales segments into the national market space. All wine products will be marketed under the Tahoe Ridge Winery brand.
