A Dresslerville man pleaded guilty this week in a stabbing outside a Carson City bar in February.
Marvin Dressler, 29, entered a guilty plea Tuesday to one count of battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm before Judge Todd Russell. Dressler had earlier pleaded not guilty to two counts of battery with a deadly weapon and two counts of attempted murder.
According to court documents, Dressler and the two victims were inside Katie's Bar on Highway 50 East. When the two victims left the bar, Dressler allegedly came outside a short time later and motioned for the men to roll down their car window.
The men told investigators they believed Dressler was going to comment on the vehicle, which was in the process of being restored, but when the driver rolled the window down, Dressler allegedly began stabbing him.
The passenger jumped from the vehicle to pull Dressler off his friend and was stabbed too.
The two were able to flee, and as they fled, discovered they'd each been stabbed numerous times in their torso, head, shoulder and back, detectives said. One of the men suffered a collapsed lung in the assault.
Dressler surrendered to police three days later.
He will be sentenced on July 8.
