Thrift store closes June 7

The Hidden Treasures Antique Thrift Store, run by the Family Support Council of Douglas County, will be closing June 7. Donations will be accepted until Saturday. All items will be on sale for 50 percent off until May 24 with a 75 percent off sale May 27 through June 7.

Hidden Treasures Antique Thrift Store is at 1224 Pep Circle in Gardnerville and is open Tuesday through Saturday. Information, 782-8692.

Neighborhood sale Saturday

The eighth annual Saratoga Springs Estates Neighborhood Garage Sale is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Saratoga Springs Estates subdivision off Stephanie Way in the Johnson Lane area. Donations collected for Blue Star Moms, an organization that supports families of men and women in the military.

Photo club meets

The monthly meeting of the Carson Valley Photo Club is 7 p.m. May 22 at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville. Quilter at meeting

Quilter Orla Orken will demonstrate her art at the Carson Valley Art Association's monthly meeting 1:30 p.m. May 23 at Western Nevada College's Douglas campus off Buckeye Road in Minden.

Bingo benefits Boys & Girls Club

The Gardnerville Council of the Knights of Columbus dedicates the May 23 bingo night to the Boys & Girls Club of Carson Valley. Doors open at 6 p.m. Play starts at 7 p.m. Game packs are $20 which include 3-card warm-up, 10 games, a raffle ticket and a progressive blackout game card. Golf tournament benefit May 31

The Boys & Girls Club Golf Tournament is May 31 at Genoa Lakes Golf Resort. Cost is $125 per player, $500 for a foursome and $600 per foursome with T-sign sponsorships and banner opportunities. The 16th annual Wacky Waddlers' Wiver Wace is June 15 at Lampe Park. The sale of the wacky waddler rubber ducks benefits the Carson Valley Community Food Closet.
