Spotlight for 5-2

The All City Musical production of "Anything Goes" continues through May 11 at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School. The play is performed at 7:30 p.m. today and May 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10, and 2 p.m. on May 4 and May 11 at the Pau-Wa-Lu Cafetorium. Mothers admitted for $5 on May 11. Sertoma Bingo Saturday


Carson Valley Sertoma Community Bingo is the first Saturday of the month at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville. Doors open at 11 a.m., early bird at 12:30 p.m., regular session at 1 p.m. Progressive blackout on May 3 will be $600 with 56 numbers or less. Coffee and popcorn provided. Snack bar open. Sagehens sale this weekend


Topaz Sagehens 32nd annual rummage sale is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Topaz Ranch Estates Community Park Building. Chili dogs, bake sale and raffle prizes. Free museum lecture May 8


Bob Ellison will speak on about Genoa pioneer Warren Wasson, 7 p.m. May 8 at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. The free lecture series is sponsored by the Douglas County Historical Society the second Thursday of the month. The museum and the Main Street Book Store will be open before and following the one-hour lecture. Information, 782-2555.




Vendors, cars needed for show and shine


Douglas County Senior Services' eighth annual Big Mama's Show & Shine Car Show is May 10 at the Lampe Park pavilion in Gardnerville. There will be food, live music, bounce house, craft fair, raffles and classic cars. The event benefits the Meals on Wheels program. Information at the senior center, 783-6455.




Mother's Day dance May 10


The Carson Valley FFA Mother's Day mother/son dance is 6:30-9 p.m. May 10 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds building. Cost is $15 per couple and $7 per additional son. Spaces are limited. Photo club meets


The monthly meeting of the Carson Valley Photo Club is 7 p.m. May 22 at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.
