A 20-year-old Los Angeles man faces up to 15 years in prison and a $100,000 fine after he was arrested for selling 500 Ecstasy tablets to a confidential drug informant.
Caleb Fry pleaded guilty Monday to trafficking in a controlled substance.
According to court documents, he was arrested Sept. 5 at the MontBleu casino at Stateline with 100 grams of Ecstasy for which he was to be paid $3,500.
As terms of a guilty plea agreement, Fry is to testify in the prosecution of co-defendant Christopher Gonzales. Fry is not eligible for probation unless he provides substantial assistance to law enforcement as defined by Nevada statute.
"He has been exceptionally cooperative through this whole thing," lawyer Tod Young said of Fry.
Judge Michael Gibbons ordered Fry to appear April 24 at a preliminary hearing in Tahoe Township Justice Court. He set sentencing for April 21.
