Visit working artists' studios, June 27-29, during the free Carson Valley Open Studios Art Tour 2008. The open studio tour features oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, silk and mixed media paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics and jewelry.
The tour begins with a reception 5-7 p.m. June 27 at the Stodick Estates Model Homes on Macenna Lane in Gardnerville and continues 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 28 and 29.
The tour allows visitors to meet artists in their workspaces, view and purchase artworks directly from the artists. Many artists will be demonstrating their techniques in a welcoming and educational environment.
Carson Valley Open Studio Art Tour was founded in 2004 by artist J. Renee Ekleberry to provide an informal way to bring artists and art lovers together in Carson Valley.
The 2008 Open Studios Art Tour is a part of Magiko, the summer celebration in Carson Valley. Maps available at the reception.
