A children's choir from Minden, Germany, is to perform a free concert at 6:30 p.m. June 29 at the CVIC Hall in its sister city.
The Tookula Youth Choir is stopping in Minden during a tour of the United States.
Dozens of Carson Valley families opened their homes to provide accommodations for the 68 teenagers and their chaperones.
"We have more than enough host families," Minden Office Manager Sheila Byington told the town board June 4.
Choir members and their director Thomas Wirtz will meet their host families at a picnic June 28 at Minden Park.
On June 29, they are touring Virginia City before the concert. The audience is invited to visit with the choir after the 90-minute performance. The young performers leave early June 30 for Salt Lake City.
