Highway 395 was closed north of Bridgeport most of the morning due to an accident involving a semi truck.
Automobile traffic is now being routed around the accident, but trucks are being diverted at Highway 182 in Bridgeport and Highway 208 in southern Douglas County. Motorists should anticipate a 15-minute delay.
The accident occurred at about 5:47 a.m. when an overturned truck blocked the highway, causing a second big rig to jackknife, 45 minutes later.
There is no word on injuries from the accident.
The California Department of Transportation reports the accident has closed the road between State Route 182 and near Sonora Junction.
According to the California Highway Patrol at least one lane will be closed until 10 p.m.
