I hate to say it, but it looks like it might turn out to be a pretty nice day today. There's a slight chance of snow in the forecast that doesn't increase until well after midnight. The predicted high today is 36, but if we get some sun, it will feel a tad warmer.
Chains or four-wheel drive are being required to cross the passes this morning with chains or snow tires required for Kingsbury, Spooner and Highway 395 through Washoe Valley and on Highway 50 all the way from Empire to Silver Springs.
