A Gardnerville man is being identified as the driver in a Thursday accident that killed a pedestrian on Highway 50 just east of Silver Springs.

Jason Hyde was driving a U.S. government owned Dodge Stratus west on the highway just east of Silver Springs when a 23-year-old man stepped into the travel lane.
