Brooke Eddy wins national pageant


Minden resident, Brooke Eddy, 6, was crowned National American Miss Princess in Southern California in November.


Her family includes mother April, father Brent who is a junior varsity football coach and golf coach at Douglas High School and siblings Jessie, 4, and Braden, 17 months. Brooke attends Capital Christian School in Carson City.

Brooke was crowned Miss Nevada Princess at the Palace Station in Las Vegas on June 16 and went on to compete with 49 other 4 to 7-year-olds to win the National American Miss Princess title. The contestants were judged in formal wear, personal introduction and interview.


Brooke won $800 for casual wear modeling, won the spirit award and was first runner-up for the personality award.

As National American Miss Princess, Brooke will attend the Miss America pageant and have a VIP breakfast with the current Miss America. In March she will attend a 3-day photo shoot with a professional hair and make-up artist in Texas. Brooke also won $3,000 cash, personalized luggage set, a gown from Debborah's, acting lessons, modeling scholarship and wardrobe consultation.


Brooke has been competing in pageants since age 4 and said she wants to grow up to be Miss America.
