Saturday is Student Day at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center when students and a required accompanying adult are admitted free to the museum and to performances of "Portrait of a Pioneer Lady" by Grace Dangberg and Beatrice Fettic Jones.
"Portrait of a Pioneer Lady" is from a transcribed conversation between Georgie Beeding Dangberg, mother of Grace Dangberg, and Gene Fettic, father of Mrs. Jones.
Performances are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395 in Gardnerville.
Museum tours by costumed guides, 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Information, 782-2555.
