Churches present concerts Sunday

Gospel group at First Baptist

Southern gospel quartet Liberty will perform 10:30 a.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Minden-Gardnerville, 1311 Centerville Lane.

The West Coast-based ministry includes baritone vocalist and pianist Doran Ritchey, bass Royce Mitchel, tenor Keith Waggoner and lead singer Dan Gilbert.

Soprano at Shepherd of the Sierra

Soprano Danielle Talamantes sings, 2 p.m. Sunday, at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, 3680 Highway 395, north of Jacks Valley Road.

Talamantes' concert benefits the fund to purchase an organ for Shepherd of the Sierra and a freewill offering will be available. Additional funding for the organ will be provided for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
