Singer appears Aug. 10

Soprano Danielle Talamantes sings, 2 p.m. Aug. 10, at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church, 3680 Highway 395, north of Jacks Valley Road.

Talamantes' concert benefits the fund to purchase an organ for Shepherd of the Sierra and a freewill offering will be available. Additional funding for the organ will be provided for Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Talamantes has performed at Wolf Trap Opera, Nevada Opera and the National Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorale. She has performed in international music competitions and maintains a voice studio in Virginia.
