Carson Valley Inn entertainment


M8TRIX appears through Sunday and various duos entertain on Monday nights. Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum in 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.


Fresh from an Asian tour, M8TRIX performs the best of Motown, rhythm & blues, pop, jazz, light rock, latin and disco. Vocalist and band leader Stephanya formed M8TRIX in the San Francisco Bay area in 1995. Rounding out the group are guitarist Mark Daniels, Michael Harper on bass, drummer Adam Lipsky and Moogie Clemon on keyboards.


Hindsight takes the Cabaret Lounge stage Tuesday and plays until May 4. The Nevada band plays a variety of rhythm & blues, classic rock 'n' roll and pop music. Dennis Car and Dina Wixom share vocals, Larry Waller leads the band on keyboards and sax, Rico Danner plays guitar, Leonardo Fields plays bass and Derek Autry is on drums.

Local musicians are invited for an acoustic jam, 2:30 - 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Eddy Street Book Exchange. Musicians of any acoustic instrument of any level of experience or those who don't play but want to sing along are welcome. Comedy show for Relay for LIfe
