Pacific Gas burglary netted $8,000

Burglars took an estimated $8,000 in a theft at a Gardnerville gas station and store sometime Tuesday night.

The Pacific Gasoline Station/Mini-Mart, located at 1479 Highway 395, was the victim of a burlgary sometime between closing 9 p.m. Tuesday and opening 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

In addition to the cash, three laptop computers, candy and cigarettes were taken from the store.

Whoever was responsible made their entry through the front door of the business.
