The R-C Morning Report

Site work continues on Waterloo Center, which when completed will consist of 60,000 square feet of retail space in two buildings and an office building. The property along Highway 395 is zoned general commercial. The owner of the property is John and Pat Pijuv as Waterloo Center LLC. Pine Crest Construction is listed on the building permit as the contractor.

It's going to take a lot more snow than we got last night to make any kind of difference in this water year. The Blue Lakes sensor is showing the snow pack at 58 percent of average. Caples Lake is at 48 percent and Ebbetts Pass is at 61 percent. That's the good news. The bad news is that if there isn't another storm, we're looking at another year with half of the 4-5 feet of snow we usually get. Down in the Valley we're still running 102 percent of average for this time of year. If not another drop falls, we'll be at 76 percent.

The Walker River, on the other hand, is doing much better with many of their snow sensors still reading above 100 percent for this time of year. A couple of places are hitting more than 80 percent of precipitation for the entire year.

The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a 5:23 a.m. injury accident at Highway 50 and mile marker 14. There may still be delays up there, so be careful on the commute.
