- A 20-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos man was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in Nevada State Prison after he admitted sexual contact with a 10-year-old boy. Page A1

- James Wade Lamb Jr. was remembered Saturday as the kind of boy who made sure that the new kids in school had someone to eat lunch with in the cafeteria. - State and federal agencies will lift fire restrictions in western Nevada on Monday. The Bureau of Land Management, the Carson Ranger Districts and the Nevada Division of Forestry issued a joint statement that damper weather and cooler temperatures have decreased the chance of fire. Page A2

- Warrants were issued for two people who failed to appear in Douglas County District Court on Monday for sentencing. Fidel Fuentes was due to appear in connection with a pursuit involving Washoe Tribal Police last spring, as was Yolanda Alvarado, who was arrested in a drug sting for selling methamphetamine.
