Bear sighted on Hussman Avenue

Several residents of Hussman Avenue in Gardnerville reported seeing a bear Tuesday night at around 11 p.m.

The bear was rummaging through trash cans on the street and got scared into a cottonwood tree by a dog before roaming away.

The street's garbage is collected on Wednesday morning, so the cans were lined up along the street on both sides.
