The Minden Airport Association is hosting a barbecue 6 p.m. Saturday where Assistant County Manager Michael Brown will be the speaker. Cost for non-members is $5, but they'll be serving hamburgers. This may be a good opportunity to hear what the county has planned for Minden-Tahoe Airport. For information, contact John Morgan at 783-4373.
The Topaz Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting their annual spaghetti feed 4-8 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $6 and there will be a raffle and dessert.

It's supposed to be rainy today with the Weather Service calling for a 50 percent chance of moisture through most of the day. There's not much going on right now. The radar shows most of the weather is to the north and east of us now. It's 47 degrees outside so there are no road controls to worry about.
