Artists' Second Saturday offered during CV Days



The Carson Valley Art Gallery Association will continue its Second Saturday events throughout the summer. June brings the Carson Valley Days, with a parade down Highway 395 from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday morning. Join all of Gardnerville and Minden in celebrating this lively event and then visit the galleries for special sales and refreshments. Scheduled events include:


-- A Student Art Show and Sale by Artistic Viewpoints students and instructors. Discover works of art by students at up-and-coming artists' prices. The show will be held during the month of June with a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Watch the parade from the Artistic Viewpoints parking lot, 1368 Highway 395, B, Gardnerville and enjoy the show and refreshments after the parade.


-- Artisans International Gallery, 1653 Lucerne St., Minden, will be offering samples of Cold Stone Creamery ice cream after the parade. Stop by, enjoy the ice cream and receive 20 percent off all beach-related art and jewelry.


-- Visit Art!Rageous, 1685 Highway 395, Suite 5, Minden Plaza, Minden, and enjoy a selection of local artists' work and their new Carson Valley Historical Series show. Open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.


-- Minden Fast Frames Gallery at 1614 Highway 395, Minden, will feature the "Magical Sierra" series of oil paintings by J. Renee Ekleberry. Visit with Ekleberry from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.


-- Lone Tree Gallery, 1598 Esmeralda Ave., Minden, will be offering 10 percent off any artwork from their recently expanded gallery. Check out the works of their newest artists Peter Darvis and Thaleia Georgiades.
