Carson Valley Middle School's annual Multicultural Arts Night is 5-7 p.m. tonight at the school in Gardnerville. There will be art displays, foreign language presentations, music and best of all food from all sorts of cultures. For information contact Ginny Thomas at 782-2265.
Speaking of food, the Lampe Park Farmers Market opens at 8 a.m. and will run until 1 p.m. The market is celebrating its 10th anniversary at the park and runs until Sept. 19. Minden's farmers market was Tuesday night and featured nearly three-dozen booths, I'm told.
The weather for all this farmers marketing will be beautiful today with the high hitting a cool 72 degrees with just the slightest breath of a breeze. Temperatures are expected to head north toward 80 degrees by Friday under partly cloudy skies.
