U.S. Postal Service letter carriers are doing more than delivering the mail on Saturday. They're also picking up non-perishable food items. Plastic bags are available to put food out next to your mailbox and the carriers are picking it up on their routes.
Food gathered will benefit the Carson Valley Food Closet through the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
