"Devils Will Reign" author Sally Zanjani will speak tonight at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center in Gardnerville. Dr. Zanjani's book describes the years before Nevada became a state in which Carson Valley plays a major role. The talk begins at 7 p.m. Anyone with questions may call 782-2555. Not to give away the plot, but technically the devils won.
For those trending more toward current events, Gov. Jim Gibbons' communications director Brent Boynton will be speaking in Minden tonight at the Republican Central Committee Meeting in the Judicial & Law Enforcement Center. The former Reno broadcaster goes on at 7:40 p.m.
It will be warm and breezy today with the high temperature hitting 80 and wind gusts hitting 21 mph. Friday is going to be more of the same with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will cool a little bit over the weekend, but they'll head back up on Monday.
