Shop Around begins today

Magiko, the two-week celebration of summertime in Carson Valley, runs through July 6 and incorporates things to do and see in Minden, Gardnerville and Genoa.

The Carson Valley Shop Around begins today and runs the length of the Magiko event.

Specials and discount offers are available at about 30 businesses in Minden, Gardnerville, Genoa, and the Clear Creek and Carson Valley plazas in north Douglas County.

While shopping, pick up a Magiko discount card to be eligible for specials and to qualify for raffle prizes.

After the card is validated by at least three participating stores, deposit it at the last store visited to qualify for raffle prizes that include handbags, framed prints, golf lessons, jewelry, wine, bath products, gift baskets and gift certificates.
