Reno concert was the best

Jan. 12, the New Oasis in Sparks held a concert featuring Unwritten Law, I Hate Kate, and Fletch.

"It was the best concert to hit Reno this year," said Samantha Calvillo, Douglas High School senior who attended the show.

I Hate Kate lead singer, Justin said, "We are playing in the best place in Nevada, and we've played in Vegas!"

Fletch performed first, and then I Hate Kate took the stage. Playing "Bed of Black Roses" to start, the crowd was sent into excitement, only to gain more power by the time the headlining band Unwritten Law began to perform.

Everyone was pushed as close to the stage as they could possibly get mixing sweat, smiles, and a love for the bands playing.

The crowd screamed, sang, and danced the night away.

Unwritten Law proved to be the performance of the night, with lead singer, Scott Russo losing his belt while singing their hit song "Save Me".

The New Oasis is located at 2100 Victorian Ave. in Sparks. For more information on upcoming concerts see http://jmaxproductions.net/oasis.
