As part of the Warm Up America program, the Carson City Michael's Arts & Craft will have a Knitting Tea Party from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the 911 Topsy Lane store.
Spend one, two or all four hours making afghan squares and connecting squares to make lap blankets for the Warm Up America program. The lap blankets will be donated to local charities in the Carson/Douglas area.
Michael's will offer tea and cookies. It is free to participate. Bring your knitting needles and crochet hooks. Michael's will provide the yarn, or you can bring your own.
