Authorities are investigating a robbery that occurred in the alley behind the Gardnerville Smith's Food & Drug on Sunday evening.
The victim said he was taking the night deposit from the Burger King to the Bank of America when a man in black clothes wearing a ski mask jumped in front of his car.
When he stopped, a second man walked up to his window with a gun and demanded money.
The victim told deputies he gave the deposit bag, containing nearly $1,300 to the man with the gun.
The victim said the two men then told him not to follow them or call the police. He said he watched them run southeast toward Eldorado and Toler Avenue.
The gunman was described as 6 feet tall and the other man was slightly shorter. The robbery occurred just after 6 p.m.
